looking into it, thanks for the feedback!

1) I suspect this has something to do with poor server performance - something we are too (painfully) aware of.
however, the code definitely could use a revision to make it more robust in that area, and I know how - so I hope we will get to it in the future.

2) actually it should show a message (green, at the top), and if it doesn't something isn't ok. I will test it, and if you encounter this again please let me know.
